New Adventures

I'm in Long Beach at Cha for Tea.

These past few weeks, I've been trying to find apartments in Long Beach. It's my first time ever trying to find an apartment and I must say, it takes a lot prayer, patience, perseverance, and more patience. What an experience. Yesterday afternoon, my new roommate Dave, called me up and told me he found a good apartment at a great location. There was no way I could drive down from LA cause of the horrible traffic at 5PM. Even though I wanted to see the apartment, I could only trust Dave's judgment. He emailed me the applications and I had to forward that to my other new roommate/teammate, Steven. After filling everything out and waiting for Steven to email me his application, I printed our applications, and drove to Kinko's to fax them in. Today, Dave called me and said we got the apartment. All I had to do was sign the lease. So, today I drove down to Long Beach from LA and signed it. I drove by the apartment to take a look at it cause I haven't seen it yet. After looking at it, I looked at Dave and said, "Good job friend." I'm pretty stoked about our apartment. It's about 1.5 miles away from CSULB and I'm glad I can walk/bike there. Truly a blessing from the Lord. Hopefully I can move in by next week. Here are some photos of the new pad.

My new 2 bed/1 bath apartment. It's on the second floor. In fact, the top three windows are part of my apartment.

Dave Wenzel. Caught him at an awkward moment as you can see.

Steven Crawford. He told me his staple diet is Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. That's going to change if he's living with me. Steven, you're gonna learn how to cook cause I'm all about cooking.

Looks great! How close are you to the Aquarium? We're headed to The Village Church on August 17th...any chance you'll be in Irvine for a visit before school starts?! We'd love to see you!

i can't believe you signed off on a place before looking at it. but looks like it's all gravy. the 1.5 mi. away from LB definitely makes it clutch. wear a helmet if you're gonna bike. oh yeah, you still need to show me the bridge. very excited for you and hope for a good rest of the summer and fall. when do you actually move in?
